Alert condition triggering critical status in app

Hi, we have plenty of apps configured using alert conditions in our stack with custom notifications channels.
So far, when an alert condition is triggered the only behaviour that we’ve seen is the notification in the channels.

However, yesterday an alert condition was triggered in an app and the APM of the application went red because of the alert condition.[accountId]=824332&pane=eyJuZXJkbGV0SWQiOiJjb25kaXRpb24tYnVpbGRlci5lZGl0IiwibmF2IjoiUG9saWNpZXMiLCJwb2xpY3lJZCI6MTQ3NjcxNywiY29uZGl0aW9uSWQiOjIyMTYzMDc0LCJyZW5kZXJlZEluUGFuZSI6dHJ1ZX0=&sidebars[0]=eyJuZXJkbGV0SWQiOiJucmFpLm5hdmlnYXRpb24tYmFyIiwibmF2IjoiUG9saWNpZXMifQ==&state=c88a684c-30d3-9415-fc3d-4a7fa4ac6605

I tried to check if there was some difference between those alerts but I couldn’t find anything relevant.
I was expecting that the alert condition do NOT change the APM global status of the app.
