AWS EC2 Infrastructure Historic Data on Terminated Instances

Hello All,

Some background, I’m building AMI images via Packer for my code deployments into EC2 for a legacy .net application. So during deployments, the old images are swapped out for the new ones using autoscaling groups.

The issue that I’m running into is that when I look in New Relic under infrastructure after the deployment, I can only see the current active hosts. I can’t see the previous instances that were running before, so I might not be able to see if the code changes have a negative impact on system performance. Is there something that I’m missing? Or is there some filter trick that I’m missing? Even if I have no filter I can’t see historic data.

Hey @jellers, The easiest way to get this information is by querying it from the Query Builder. You could use a simple query like -

Select * from SystemSample where hostname = 'host name' since 1 week ago

Here’s information on the event types available and writing queries -

Let me know if that works for you.
