`bam.nr-data.net` using Symantec certificate that will be distrusted in Chrome 70

#1

Heya,

Just a heads up that bam.nr-data.net is now throwing a warning in the devtools console that the Symantec certificate it is running will be distrusted in Chrome 70 when it lands in stable (which will be sooner for anyone running canary). Full details can be found at https://security.googleblog.com/2017/09/chromes-plan-to-distrust-symantec.html

The full error message from the devtools console.

The SSL certificate used to load https://bam.nr-data.net...&jsonp=NREUM.setToken will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading this resource. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.

Hey @jacob_bednarz -

Thank you, this is super helpful information! Our Browser and Security teams may already be aware of this, but I’ll be sure to send this their way just in case they’re not.

Thanks again, Jacob!

-Ryan.

Any update on this? Want to make sure we don’t lose client data reporting.

Our Browser Engineering team has this on their radar to update the certificate. According to the link provided Chrome 70 stable has an estimated release of October 23, 2018.
