New browser versions Chrome 85+, Safari desktop 13.0.4+, Safari iOS 13.3+ and Firefox 87+ now send URLs without paths in the referrer header therefore preventing the New Relic browser agent(s) (lite, pro, and spa) from capturing full URLs as attributes for page views. We’ve addressed this concern in agent v983 by sending the URL value as part of the payload. This improvement is behind a feature flag, and many of you have been taking advantage of it. We are pleased to let you know that we’re removing the feature flag around the end of next week (aprox May 27th), and you will not need to take any action to ensure the complete path of URLs for page views is captured.
Note: This feature takes a different approach to capturing URLs, so there is a small chance of difference in reporting.
