Export Control Updates to Ingest

Important: Upcoming Changes To Ingest

Beginning on April 15, 2021, New Relic will block data ingest from the following regions: North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, the Crimea region.

What does this change mean?

If users have been sending data to New Relic Properties from these regions, that data will no longer be received in the New Relic Properties.

Why is this change happening?

New Relic’s products, services, software, websites, forums, pages or systems (“New Relic Properties”), including information shared on them by New Relic and other contributors, may be subject to U.S. export control laws, including the U.S.’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). New Relic takes its duties to comply with these laws seriously.

As a reminder, the New Relic Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy also require our users to comply with applicable law when accessing and using our Properties. This includes U.S. export control and sanctions laws and regulations. Users are responsible for their compliance with these laws, including who accesses New Relic Properties, what data is sent to New Relic Properties, and locations from which they are accessed or used. New Relic Properties are not designed to process ITAR-controlled data, and sending sensitive or high-risk data such as ITAR-controlled information to New Relic Properties is restricted under the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

U.S. export laws restrict transactions with individuals and entities in certain countries, as well as with individuals and entities named on U.S. sanctions lists. Generally, in order to provide services in these countries, or with these restricted persons, a license from the U.S. government is required.

If New Relic determines users, accounts, etc., are located in sanctioned regions, or otherwise being used in violation of U.S. export control laws, New Relic reserves the right to restrict access to New Relic Properties in order to comply with these requirements. These restrictions may extend to users and accounts outside of the sanctioned areas.

This information is provided for your convenience; it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that your use of New Relic Properties complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including U.S. export laws.
