Feature Idea: Cannot set timezone on my account

I created my NR One account last month and I cannot seem to set the timezone at all. I’m trying to set it to CDT as it’s been confusing for my team. This is the case not only with reading the APM and error data on NR, but this is especially confusing when we get incident alerts posting to slack with graphs in UTC without it saying what timezone it is. It can cause quite a bit of confusion during triage processes. Is there anyway for me to change this setting? I don’t see anything in user preferences to change my timezone. Thx!

I definitely understand your frustration. This is not a possibility at this time, but what I can do is create a feature idea out of this post and communicate the ask to our product teams. I’ll add a poll so that others can vote and weigh in as well.

I’ve signed up to NewRelic to see if I can use your platform for our customer rail apps. I’m stunned that something as simple as setting a timezone on our accounts is considered a feature request. I don’t understand how NewRelic can launch a new version of their app and introduce less functionality? I would be crucified by my customers if I did this with my web apps.

On top of all of this, pages are extremely slow to load, some pages for alert configurations don’t load at all, citing javascript errors.

My exploration into the world of NewRelic was short, I’ll have to find something else. The trial experience is unacceptable and I wouldn’t pay for it in it’s current state.

Hi there @paulomanacas - I have moved your post to this thread. This is a current limitation on our newer account types. We’ll add your request to the others and share with our product team.

Any ETA ? I am also a new customer, and it would simplify our lifes if we could set the global timezone or timezone for the servers

Hey all - An update here - now users of all types should be able to update their time zone in the account preferences screen. We just released this update last week. You should see an option for updating your time zone in your account preferences (per this doc: https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/accounts/install-new-relic/account-setup/change-your-account-time-zone-setting).

The one exception is for customers using AUM or SCIM - your preferences are set with your identity provider.
