Feature Idea: Fully support Mongoose in node.js agent

I’m using Node.js agent instrumentation for the APM.
I also use the popular mongoose package to work with my MongoDB.

The problem is, that this is only partially supported.
It is reporting on “insertOne” and “updateOne”, but not on “find” or “findOne”.

The reasoning is quite obvious - I cannot measure my fetch from the DB, which is quite important.

I have a complete ticket on it, containing all the information that is needed. Ticket #350654.

New Relic Edit

  • I want this too
  • I have more info to share (reply below)
  • I have a solution for this
