Feature Idea: Overriding timestamp beyond 24 hours

I know we can send our own data into the timestamp field, but only if it is within 24 hours of now().

Would love to be able to have more control and send any timestamp I want into an Insights table.

This allows us to compare past, or set future data that we can use for comparisons. Allowing this flexibility in the timestamp allows us to use this in the normal way in timeseries and have the time picker use our custom timestamp.

Ideally the account retention would work off when this data was sent in, NOT the timestamp we have sent it.

New Relic Edit

  • I want this too
  • I have more info to share (reply below)
  • I have a solution for this

Hey @Helen.Ashton - Thanks for posting here - that feature idea has just been submitted internally as well as here.
