Feature idea: UI for setting up Alert Condition Descriptions

###Alerts Question Template

Alert Condition Descriptions are a hidden feature because they are not accessible from the UI. Additionally, they require the author of an alert condition to also become familiar with the Graph API in order to better control the descriptions being emitted.

(https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/alerts/new-relic-alerts/defining-conditions/alert-condition-descriptions for reference)

It would be better if we could also edit the description via the UI, even if it’s a simple text field without autocomplete.

We take feature ideas seriously and our product managers review every one when plotting their roadmaps. However, there is no guarantee this feature will be implemented. This post ensures the idea is put on the table and discussed though. So please vote and share your extra details with our team.

Hi @dustin.pauze - The feature request below seems similar.

Agreed - that’s very similar. New Relic has already provided a stopgap measure through the GraphQL API for modifying the message body, just not a UI to facilitate that.

great feature request @dustin.pauze - So great that I believe this is already on the roadmap. I don’t have any info on timeline, but I know there is demand for a descriptions UI.

I’ll get your +1 logged internally, and I’ll add a poll to your post for others to add their say too
