Go Agent Troubleshooting Framework Install

Once you’ve installed the Go agent, you should see data reporting within a few minutes. If you’re having trouble, these are the steps that our support teams take to troubleshoot, and we hope they will help you find and resolve the issue quickly.

  1. Confirm the app is receiving traffic, has been for at least 5 min, and continues to receive traffic during troubleshooting

  2. Run NrDiag to collect data then validate:

  3. Can connect to new relic collector

  4. Check for High Security Mode configuration mismatches.

  5. Confirm the Agent has been imported to the application

  6. Confirm code has been added to the app to initialize the Agent along with required configuration settings

  7. Confirm that customer has instrumented at least one transaction

  8. Check if it is a short running program or if they are instrumenting the main func, if so ensure they have added the correct settings

  9. Check if they are using a Golang framework that has an integration

  10. Confirm there are no proxy issues or incorrect proxy configurations

  11. Collect logs and check for issues
