Introducing new release of the Kubernetes integration

New Relic has added new metrics to the Kubernetes integration.

They are available on our nri_kubernetes integration release and also on our last nri_bundle release.

What’s new?

Node status conditions

The conditions describe the status of the Running nodes, now these conditions are eligible for queries, dashboards and alerts.

Node conditions may vary depending on the K8s distribution, they are available in K8sNodeSample.

Sample query:

SELECT clusterName, displayName, condition.Ready, condition.DiskPressure, condition.MemoryPressure, condition.PIDPressure FROM K8sNodeSample

Find all the metrics available in our documents

A widget listing some of the main status conditions of the problematic nodes is available on our K8 infrastructure dashboard.

Unschedulable metric
When a node is marked as unschedulable it can’t schedule new pods.

This metric is available in K8sNodeSample.

Sample query:

SELECT clusterName, displayName, unschedulable FROM K8sNodeSample

Pod IP

Pod IP is available now in K8sPodSample

Sample query:

SELECT podName, podIP FROM K8sPodSample
