New Relic agent update/Ubuntu 20.04

trying to update the agent i got this…
Reading package lists… Done
W: Skipping acquire of configured file ‘maindeb/binary-amd64/Packages’ as repository ‘https://download.newrelic.com/infrastructure_agent/linux/apt focal InRelease’ doesn’t have the component ‘maindeb’ (component misspelt in sources.list?)

Hi @browndan186

Hope you are doing well!

Can you uninstall the Infrastructure agent and then try to reinstall it and see if it resolves the issue?

Preferred method: Guided Install

Please do not hesitate to contact me in case of any additional queries or issues. I will be happy to help you. :slightly_smiling_face:

the guided installation was not working …thats why i had to do manual install…actually i was able to figure out this question…im now having issue with log fowarding despite the fact everything seems to be set up accordingly…but i can see the metrics

@browndan186 Glad to hear you were able to resolve the install issue. I’m going to reach out to our support team regarding the issue you are now having with log forwarding. If you happen to resolve that also please do let us know. Thanks

Hi @browndan186,

The log forwarding feature is not included when the infrastructure agent is implemented using Linux tarball or Windows ZIP installations.

Please review the below documentation which explains enabling log forwarding for infra agents installed manually.
https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/logs/forward-logs/forward-your-logs-using-infrastructure-agent/#tarball-install

Hope it helps. Please revert if you need any further assistance.

Thanks!
