New Relic logs are not correct

We are using the infrastructure agent to push logs to our newrelic accounts, but lately, we have noticed that the logs in newrelic are multiplied many times compared to our log files from the servers.

For example:

  • we have 22 entries in the log file that match a particular string
  • in newrelic, the same string is showing us more than 100 results from the same log file

Could this be related to logrotation? I have checked the infrastructure agent log, but the only error I could find is this:
time=“2022-05-20T08:34:24+02:00” level=debug msg=“Unsupported file system.” component=StorageSampler fs=sysfs lineno=0 mountsFile=mountinfo

Can you provide a permalink to where you are noting “2 entries in the log file that match a particular string” vs " same string is showing us more than 100 results from the same log file". As I am unable to reproduce this issue.
