Newrelic-infra mysql extension not reporting

Hello, right now we have newrelic-infra for the MySQL extension set up and running. It is running and reporting on the replica slave but not on the master.

When we go to this dashboard we do not see our master host reporting.

To debug, we have added verbose: 1 and a log file, and run nrdiag. We can provide those logs if the ticket is private.

How can we address this problem?

This seems very similar to the problem we were having w/ nri-memcached: Not receiving any data from memcached infrastructure integration.

To be clear, no solution was offered by NR staff for the reporting problem we encountered w/ nri-memcached. It just started mysteriously working on its own after ignoring it for a few weeks.

The problems appears to be somewhere on the NR side of the fence, especially here where we have two servers configured in nearly the same way, but one reports and the other doesn’t.

Hello @crossway, This warning message you sent over,

May 26 10:50:51 new-peak newrelic-infra[27779]: time=“2020-05-26T10:50:51-05:00” level=warning msg=“cannot handle plugin output” data prefix=config/mysql error=“unsupported protocol version: 3” plugin name=mysql-

relates to the version of the Infra agent that you are using and v3 of the SDK that the integration is using. If you update the Infra agent to the latest version, this should clear that message.

Wonderful! Thank you for replying, that indeed resolved it.

For reference, before we were on New Relic Infrastructure Agent version: 1.1.9, afterwards we were on New Relic Infrastructure Agent version: 1.11.42.
