Newrelic Integration with Microsoft Teams

Hi,

I am trying to setup newrelic integration with microsoft teams but Its not working.
Here is what I have done so far:

  • Created newrelic “webhook” notification channel.
  • Added Microsoft Team’s “Webhook URL” in newrelic’s webhook “Base Url”.
  • Use Custom Playload as below:
    {
    “title”: “New Relic Alert: $CONDITION_NAME in $POLICY_NAME”,
    “text”: “$EVENT_DETAILS”
    }
  • Run “Send a test notification”.
  • I am getting this error:
    "{
    response: 200,

Notification request ignored - NewRelic unknown event

}".

Looks like Team’s connection is successful but the notification/message is not delivered to Teams.

I also followed other tickets below but everyone is recommending same process to integrate Teams.

I am not sure if I am missing something. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Question for you… Are you using the New Relic connector in MS Teams? Or are you using the generic web hook connector?

Judging by the error message you’re seeing (Notification request ignored - NewRelic unknown event) , you probably are using the New Relic connector in MS Teams. Microsoft has not updated this connector in some time, and although it worked with our old legacy alerting system, it does not work with our new Alerts system. I would recommend using the generic webhook connector through MS Teams instead.

Let me know if that’s not the issue and we’ll keep working with you!
