Hello

My newrelic account does not receive any data from my app. Looking at my newrelic_agent.log, I can see these errors:

[09/12/18 14:59:36 +0800 a (17866)] ERROR : Error establishing connection with New Relic Service at collector.newrelic.com:443:
[09/12/18 14:59:36 +0800 a (17866)] ERROR : OpenSSL::SSL::SSLError: SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=error: certificate verify failed

Do you know what’s wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hello @huadong.wang,

Thanks for your post!

I’m happy to look into this error with you, but I’ll need a bit more information to troubleshoot.

It’d be great if you could respond with the following:

  • What version of our Ruby Agent are you using?

  • Was your application previously reporting and now it isn’t? Or has this application never reported to APM?

  • Could you send the output of this command from the server the agent is installed on?

      curl -v https://collector.newrelic.com/status/mongrel

    This will test the outgoing connection and incoming response.

Thank you!

Hi @huadong.wang, which version of the New Relic Ruby Agent are you using?

Is your server behind a Proxy or Firewall by any chance?
