Oracle Plugin causes RHEL6 not to boot

Installed NPI and NewRelic plugin for Oracle DB and after server rebooted, it would not boot. Anyone experience this issue?

Disabling it from chkconfig resolved the issue, but curious if this is a known bug.

Hi, @vlima: I don’t think New Relic makes a plugin for Oracle. When I search our plugins page, I see one from Blue Medora, and one from Spark::red. In order to get support, you should contact the author of the plugin you are using.

Hi Vlima,

I’m sorry to hear that you had a significant server issue like this, but I am glad you were able to get it back up and running. I haven’t personally seen a server not come back up properly after an install of a plugin. I am running Redhat 7 in my environment, and if I run a “chkconfig —list”, it outputs the following for the Oracle Database Plugin: 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off

If you are still having issues with the plugin, feel free to reach out to us by opening a ticket at
