Possible false positive "Unable to ping" message

We’re seeing a lot of “Unable to ping” (DNS resolution error) messages lately, around 3-5 per hour.

The site seems to be working fine - it’s a localization platform, so users are literally accessing it from all over the World and yet we haven’t received a single complaint about the site being unavailable.

Could it be a false positive?

@matjaz.horvat There are a few things it could possibly be but I would encourage you to move to the new Synthetics pinger in lieu of using the legacy availability monitor. It’s more flexible and robust while also having stronger retry logic that can drastically reduce reports of false positives. Let me know if you have any troubles configuring it!
