Q1 Bulk EOL Announcement (FY23)

Hi, New Relic One users. This quarter we are EOLing the following capabilities/features:

Support ending April 2022:

  • Helm v2 deprecation
  • .NET Framework 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1
  • RabbitMQCluster entity
  • C-SDK

Support ending June 2022:

  • APM Database (Toggle Off) Page
  • APM Summary (Toggle Off) Page

See details below:

1. Helm v2 deprecation

What is the impact? What will you experience?

  • You will be able to unify K8s installation experience and features with Helm v3. You will also be able to start projects that are incompatible with Helm v2 like supporting K8s KSM v2.
  • The next K8s version to GA in April will only support Helm v3.

What do you need to do? By when?

  • Use the latest version of the K8s integration by the end of April, 2022.

2. .NET Framework 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1

What is the impact? What will you experience?

  • You will need to upgrade your .NET version in order to upgrade to the latest agent.

What do you need to do? By when?

  • Upgrade to supported runtime from Microsoft and the latest version of .NET by April 26, 2022.

3. RabbitMQCluster entity

What is the impact? What will you experience?

  • New customers using Dimensional Metrics will get an error when clicking on a RabbitMQCluster entity.

What do you need to do? By when?

  • Convert to other Rabbitt MQ entities and Rabbit MQ dashboards (Seldon and Quickstart) as soon as possible.

4. C-SDK

What is the impact? What will you experience?

  • The C-SDK will no longer be supported by New Relic engineering and no further feature or support requests will be handled. The C-SDK repository will be available on Github for customers to continue using.

What do you need to do? By when?

  • No action is required from customers. The C-SDK repo on Github will continue to be made available. Customers that have CPP applications can make use of the community-maintained Open Telemetry CPP solution going forward.

5 & 6. APM Database Seldon Page and APM Summary Seldon Page

What are the impacts? What will you experience?

  • New NR1 UIs tie into Codestream, link to the platform in more modern ways and expose relationships, and surface important information better.

What do you need to do? By when?

  • Adopt our latest UI by June 30, 2022.
