Report on data used per AWS service

We’re using AWS integrations and trying to sort out how much data we’re ingesting per AWS service. In other words we’d like to see per account how much data we’re ingesting to infrastructure from say EC2 vs RDS.

You can query using NRQL for this information. You’ll need to identify the sample and provider names using the details from the integration docs, linked at Integrations | New Relic Documentation. Here are examples for EC2 and RDS:

EC2

SELECT bytecountestimate()/10e8 as 'GB Estimate' FROM ComputeSample WHERE provider='Ec2Instance' FACET awsAccountId SINCE 1 day ago

RDS

DB Instances:

SELECT bytecountestimate()/10e8 as 'GB Estimate' FROM DatastoreSample WHERE provider='RdsDbInstance' FACET awsAccountId SINCE 1 day ago

Aurora DB Clusters:

SELECT bytecountestimate()/10e8 as 'GB Estimate' FROM DatastoreSample WHERE provider='RdsDbCluster' FACET awsAccountId SINCE 1 day ago
