Scripted Browser Synthetic Test: Proper Credential Storage

#1

Synthetics Question Template

https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/synthetics/new-relic-synthetics/scripting-monitors/scripted-browser-examples

As an example, I have regularly seen the following credential storage in NR scripted browser scripts:

UserID = “UserName”,
password = “P@ssw0rD”,

Is there anyway to call stored passwords or relinquish this information from the scripts? Seems a bit dated to store credentials like this in scripts.

Hi, @brian.goodman:

That’s a great point as well though @brian.goodman, we need to update those examples to use secure credentials :slight_smile:

I’ll make sure we get those updated.
