I will start with, I am probably not finding what I am looking for because how to ask the question is throwing me off in searches. Is it possible to have an alert that is set to entity, because that is correct for normal conditions, but, that does not flood in event of a common component failing? IE - If an edge service fails, we need to know which specific instance of the edge service fails. However, if a core service that all of the edges use fails, the edge services will also fail. We want to short circuit and only receive a few initial edge alerts and then have the rest suppressed. This would be true of any type of event, so, it isn’t just a service to service relationship. It could also be Host Not reporting because the network goes down.
