Support for Solr 7.1 and higher



We are unable to see any Solr Cache and Updates being captured in APM since upgrade of Solr from 6.x to 7.1
Does NewRelic support Solr version 7.x , if not then what are next steps ?
Do we have any workaround in meantime?



Hi there @sajid_nadeem - nice to see you back in the Explorers Hub.

Unfortunately, we do not yet support Solr version 7.x, which is why you are not seeing some information. I don’t know at this point when we might expect to support 7.x, but we will announce it in the release notes when we do.

In the meantime, you can try to capture any missing information using custom instrumentation. Because version 7.x is unsupported (which also means untested) we can’t guarantee this will work, but you may very well have success.

It looks like Java Agent 4.4.0 supports SOLR 7.x , from the release notes-
“The Java agent now supports Solr 7.x. New Relic’s Solr support reports database calls to Solr servers as well as monitors the Solr server itself.”
