Hey @jdatienza - We don’t currently have an agent that works with Xamarin. With that said we are working on a more extensible agent for Mobile that will support cross platform frameworks like this. We expect to have an update on this by the end of year.

@RyanVeitch Are there any updates for this?

I don’t have a timeline on that extensible agent I’m afraid, @collin.chandler - We’ll be sure to update the community as we know more.

@RyanVeitch Ok thank you for the quick reply!

No worries! let us know if there’s anything else we can help with in the meantime.

Hi,
Do we have a concreate solution on Xamarin platform yet?

Not yet @vishal.ambesange - We’ll get your +1 added internally though.

I’d like to add a +1 as well… my work has several Xamarin.Android applications that we would love to be able to use new relic’s mobile solution with.

@RyanVeitch- I have to take New Relic monitoring out of stack due to lack to support my strategic mobile apps.

Hey @xnor - Thank you for your thoughts here, your +1 has been added

@vishal.ambesange - I’m sorry you have to do that at this time. I hope you’ll keep an eye on this thread for a time when we do have Xamarin support.

Hi - is there any additional news or an update on future Xamarin support?

Hi @joe.bowers, at this moment in time, there is no support for Xamarin yet. As soon as there is any kind of update from our development team, we will let the community know.

Hi @nmcnamara,

there is support for Xamarin from Dynatrace (https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/technology-support/application-software/other-technologies/supported-out-of-the-box/xamarin/), AppDynamics (https://www.appdynamics.com/supported-technologies/xamarin-monitoring), Raygun (https://raygun.com/documentation/language-guides/xamarin/real-user-monitoring/forms/) and others.

We are able to monitor our whole stack/infrastructure with NR but not the app. Is is that complicated or time-consuming to add support for Xamarin to an existing NR product?

There are several posts here reaching back to 2014 with several users that are requesting Xamarin support .

It would be more than nice if there would be an answer other than “no support yet, wait and see if there will be one anytime”.

Best
Stefan

Hi @output! I have looked into this internally and I can see that there are plans to start supporting Xamarin but it is too early to say when it will be implemented. Rest assured that it is on our future roadmap.
