Transaction Errors not sent to Insights

#1

What is needed to be configured for a Java App to send Transaction Error details to the Insights database. I have an application that has not data in the TransactionError table.

#2

HI, @reopelle.scott: It should work without any custom configuration. Are you sure you have errors during the time window you’re querying?

#3

When I run the query below nothing comes back.
SELECT * FROM TransactionError WHERE appName = <AppName>

#4

Again, are you sure you have errors during the time window you’re querying? The default time window is the last 60 minutes.

#5

Uhm… Please delete this topic.

Since I did not see the appName listed in the auto-populate fields, I assumed it was not there.

#6

Looks like you got this sorted out @reopelle.scott - I believe the auto-complete box in Insights looks at data that reported in the past 60 minutes, it’s possible that your app had no errors in that time, thus the TransactionError event had no AppName that matched in that 60 minute timeframe.

I have never seen details around how that box gets pre-populated. Thanks for the clarification @RyanVeitch
