Hi Ramanathan.r,

Can you verify that the server has access to the domains and ports mentioned in this document:
https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/using-new-relic/cross-product-functions/install-configure/networks/

Regards,

The URLs are accessible from the server. But from the powershell it is failing!

This is the error message: Exception calling “DownloadFile” with “2” argument(s): “The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.”

Based on this the error might be because of TLS12 not being specified. but the first line of the command handles this: [Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = ‘tls12, tls’;

I have added the non authoritative addresses via nslookup to the security groups in azure

  1. Address: 151.101.210.110
    Aliases: download.newrelic.com

  2. Name: api.newrelic.com
Address: 162.247.242.11 → as part of the CIDR range 162.247.240.0/22
Need assistance to complete the configuration of log forwarder please !

Hello All,

Is there another way to do this? Need some assistance.

Hi Ramanathan,

Thank you for your patience.
Please check the contents of the new relic-infra.yml if any?
Then , please see the following link for clues on how to resolve the issue: Not seeing data | New Relic Documentation”

You can also try to remove and reinstall NR-I on this server with errors.

Other helpful Links below:
Install the infrastructure agent New Relic’s infrastructure monitoring agent is a lightweight executable file that collects data about your hosts. It also forwards data from infrastructure integrations to New Relic, as well as log data for log analytics.

I hope this helps.

This is happening fine for a aws server but failing for an azure server. Is there any product decsion based truth to this or is this expected behavior?

Hi Ramanathan,

Thank you for your patience. Please can you share more details on this problem? I was in the understanding you were pointing at Windows Server 2016, is this correct? Please let me know.
Thank you again for your time.
