Webhook channel null

While testing webhook notification getting successful however Unable to test channel ‘WEBHOOK’: null.

is also shown on the pop-up.

FYI -

didn’t help in anyway for my part of settings.

Hey there @app.support,

I see you are receiving an error when trying to test one of your channels utilizing Webhook. Are you receiving the same response code 200? If you could please provide further information on the response code or a screenshot of the error that would be helpful in finding you the correct solution. I hope to hear back from you soon.

I hope you have a great day!

Here is the screenshot of the error.

@michaelfrederick can you please advice what could be the issue or do we have a option to get on a meeting and check?

Hey there @app.support,

I appreciate the extra information regarding the error you are receiving. I see that you did look over the other post. Did you also check the documentation they linked there with trouble shooting steps? You can find it here if not. Specifically I would like to point to the area on Interpreting your test results and just below that on how to capture the test payload.

Please let me know if you were able to follow these steps or if you have already done so and I will continue to provide support.

@michaelfrederick i did check the post and steps given and it didn’t help. I think base URL has some issue and am checking on it. will reach out to you again for any help. thank you.

Hey @app.support,

Please do reach out if you need more help or further assistance, we will be more than happy to give you a hand. Have a great day!

@michaelfrederick is it mandatory that Base Url in webhook should be something like

https://abc.webhook.office.com/webhookb2/152fd933-c3ba-4090-857d-3f441ada78bd@de866676-d032-4fbe-965f-ede047da57ff/IncomingWebhook/d89be02e665a4831b0b1a4b8e85f11ed/5fcc675f-cbce-4b2a-9642-54c2f30d85a9

or it can be any end point URL which can receive messages. To paraphrase

is the URL supposed to have string “webhook” in it? or it can be

https://mydomain.com

Hi @app.support

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I’ll be happy to check the notification channel/destination that you created to notify this webhook.

I’m wondering if you could send me the link to it in New Relic?

thanks

Rodrigo

Here is the newrelic link

Hi @app.support

I’ve noticed that there are no authentication details nor headers included. Is that right?

Also when I tested the endpoint https://goh...mt using PostMan (also without any authentication) the request timedout.

Can you try to call your endpoint using PostMan, check the credentials needed, and try to update the notification channel with them?

thanks

Rodrigo

@rcorgozinho yes auth, headers details are not included.

As you said i have tested this using postman only providing auth and it works. headers as in what exactly it it. could you please elaborate so that I can move forward in solving this together.

Hi @app.support

I’ll be happy to help to solve this

So, if I understood it right you have included the authentication when testing in PostMan. Is that right?

If so, could you please include the same in the notification channel? Eg:

Depending on which authentication is needed in your endpoint you can add them in the “Basic Auth” or part of the headers.

Let me know if you have any doubts.

thanks

Rodrigo

@rcorgozinho i have added Basic auth only. no headers needed. still same issue, please see from your side what am i missing or not provided and help me. Thank you so much for your time and support.
