Cannot disable/re-enable a condition for an alert policy

###Alerts Question Template

  • Please describe what are you seeing:

I’ve removed a couple servers from our AWS infrastructure, which led to an alert of our downtime policy. I’ve read that you are supposed to disable / re-enable the condition for the policy to remove the alerts, but when I click on a condition it leads to an error page.

  • How does this differ from what were you expecting to see?

I’d expect to be able to disable and re-enable the policies per this page: https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/alerts/new-relic-alerts/configuring-alert-policies/update-or-disable-policies-conditions

  • If you aren’t seeing expected alert or data, please provide a link to the incident or violation (policy, condition, data app etc.)

Troubleshooting downtime document

It looks like you are a user on this account and don’t have the Alerts manager role assigned to you. You can read more about that here: https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/alerts/new-relic-alerts/getting-started/alert-policy-workflow#permissions-rights

You’ll need someone who is an owner or admin on your account to either promote you to admin or add the Alerts Manager role to you, for this account.
