Feature Idea: Make where to be case insensitive or able to use upper/lower case

feature-idea

#1

I’m trying to query the percentage of a value per another column I have, creating the query

SELECT percentage(count(*), where result = 'SUCCESS') FROM SyntheticCheck since '2019-10-01 04:00:00' UNTIL '2019-10-31 23:59:59' FACET TIP_Crn_Resource_Type limit max

The problem is that the column TIP_Crn_Resource_Type have different upper/lower cases of the same word, so I want to combine them, so it would be something like

SELECT percentage(count(*), where result = 'SUCCESS') FROM SyntheticCheck since '2019-10-01 04:00:00' UNTIL '2019-10-31 23:59:59' FACET lcase(TIP_Crn_Resource_Type) limit max

but there isn’t an option to do that, and it’s returning the values being case sensitive. How can I make my FACETs values to be case insensitive or any other suggestion that would group same words?
Thank you

Hi @maryliag - That sounds like a feature idea to me - I don’t know that there’s any way currently to alter the case sensitivity in NRQL.

I’ll get that feature idea filed for you to the product team now.
